I want one of my quiz questions to be a fun kind of survey question that has no right or wrong answer. In other words, all answers are correct. I can't figure out how to make more than one response the correct one.

When creating quiz questions you are limited to one correct answer, but you can change this after the quiz has been taken by regrading the quiz or lesson.
Go to the Reports tab
Highlight the quiz
Select the button labeled “Edit”
Select to “Regrade”
Check as many correct answers as you like

How do I give several different versions of the same test to curb cheating?
Stacey Crook, 2007/12/03 09:23:
You will need to create the other versions of the test by copying and changing the order of the questions. You will also need to print out each version to handout in class.
During the exam
Select the Engage Tab
Select Assessment Setup
Select Student Paced
Select multiple checkboxes for each version of the exam you wish to use for this class
Select engage. A question will appear on the student's lcd screen asking for the student to input the test number of the test they are taking.

Can you weight specific questions as opposed to weighting certain types of lessons? More points for some questions than others?
Stacey Crook, 2007/12/03 09:24:
That is not possible with CPS right now. You can weight entire sessions, but not each question.

Can you add a column to the gradebook allowing to sort a large class by the lab section numbers?
Stacey Crook, 2007/12/03 09:24:
That is not possible with CPS right now. You would have to have students register for two separate classes, lecture and lab. Then give the quiz separately to each section and then merge sessions afterward to compile a complete grade list for the entire class. Not a good solution.

I want to allow my students to respond anonymously. How do I disassociate the responses from student ids?
Stacey Crook, 2007/12/04 09:22:
The Anonymous mode allows you to record a class assessment without associating students’ individual responses with their student information. The Anonymous mode works with the following delivery modes:
Standard mode
Teacher Led mode
Student Paced mode
To engage a lesson in Anonymous mode, follow these directions:
Open CPS from your desktop icon.
Click the Engage >Lessons and Assessments tab.
Select the lesson from the lesson side (left or top window) of the screen you want to engage in Anonymous mode. A checkmark appears in the box in front of the lesson you selected.
Click Advanced in the Engage Options group. The Advanced Engage Options window appears.
Click the box next to Anonymous Mode so that a checkmark appears. Notice that you no longer have the option to create attendance from this Assessment.
Click OK.
Click Engage in the Assessment group. An Anonymous Mode Information confirmation box appears.
Click OK to continue. The Feedback Grid window opens.
Click Start to initiate the session. Upon doing this, students can begin submitting answers.
Click Close to end the session at any time.
